0 1 <br /> Sulfolane Remedial ' <br /> Investigation Work Plan <br /> ARCADIS Former Occidental Chemical Corporation <br /> Lathrop, California , <br /> 4.2.5 Boring Completion <br /> Following completion of the drilling activities, the boreholes will be abandoned by , <br /> grouting the hole from the bottom up. Boring completion procedures will be completed <br /> in accordance with Section 4.7 of the SJCEHD well standards included in Appendix B. <br /> 4.3 Investigation Derived Waste Management <br /> Waste materials generated from the installatiori of borings will be placed in DOT- , <br /> approved containers suitable for subsequent transportation for offsite disposal at a <br /> permitted waste management facility. Groundwater from sampling activities will be , <br /> placed in the influent sump of the treatment system. <br /> Waste profiles for any waste stream will be prepared, as required by the waste ' <br /> disposition facilities. <br /> 5. Health and Safety ' <br /> The general health and safety procedures to be followed at the Site are outlined in the, <br /> Site Specific Health&Safety Plan, Former Occidental Chemical Corporation Facility ' <br /> (HASP; ARCADIS 2011). Potential health and safety concerns specific to the proposed <br /> investigation activities are addressed in the SOPs provided in Appendix B of the <br /> HASP. , <br /> 6. Reporting and Schedule <br /> Upon completion of the proposed field activities,ARCADIS will prepare an investigation , <br /> report to be submitted to the RWQCB presenting the results of the overall investigation. <br /> The report will include site background and environmental setting information,field , <br /> procedures, presentation of field observations, and analytical results including <br /> laboratory report sheets, data evaluation,a tabular summary of the analytical results, <br /> screening evaluations for the analytes(reporting limits, MCLS,soil cleanup level,and ' <br /> health-based drinking water criterion), and recommendations(as appropriate). <br /> Upon receiving approval from the RWQCB for this Work Plan,ARCADIS will initiate <br /> proposed pre-field and field activities. Following the completion of the proposed soil <br /> and groundwater investigation field activities,ARCADIS will generate the summary <br /> report.The report will be submitted to the RWQCB approximately four weeks after <br /> receiving the final laboratory data from APPL and data validation from CRA.
