At <br /> this time , we would approve of this work being completed by <br /> Thorne at the price quoted, and Mrs. Conrady has forwarded <br /> $2 , 457 . 50 to us which we have placed in our trust account, <br /> which amount represents 50% of the $4 , 915 . 00 estimated for <br /> analytical work in the quote. This amount is available for <br /> disbursement to Thorne upon performance of the work. <br /> At this time, we have determined that it would not be <br /> appropriate for us to request a quote from our engineers, <br /> Leedshill-Herkenhoff, insofar as we do not intend to have <br /> Leedshill-Herkenhoff undertake such work. In addition, in <br /> the future, we may wish to have Leedshill-Herkenhoff review <br /> the work undertaken by Thorne and would not want—them to be <br /> under contract for this purpose by American Real Estate. <br /> Finally, as we discussed by telephone on March 20 , 1989 , <br /> we are willing to consider some type of subordination agree- <br /> ment between Mrs. Conrady and American which would protect <br /> American for the costs of site remediation.
