Woodward-Clyde
Consultants
i
The analytical results for lead ranged from 2 8 mg/kg to 9 7 mg/kg These concentrations
are believed to correspond to naturally occurring lead levels in the soil
TFH was not encountered in any of the groundwater samples collected during this
investigation Free product was not observed in any of the three wells during the
groundwater investigation. Benzene and total xylenes were detected in the groundwater
samples. The analytical results for the soil samples collected above the groundwater
interface were below the detection limit of the analyses for TPH and BTEX Elevated levels
of fecal coliform were detected in monitoring wells MW-2 and MW-3 at 2 MPN/100 ml and
6 MPN/100 ml, respectively
1.3 PURPOSE
The purpose of this report is to provide quarterly groundwater monitoring data for the Mayor
Mart site as requested by SJCPHS in a letter dated November 12, 1991 This report was
• prepared following the report requirements as specified in the November 12, 1991 letter, and
Appendix A -Reports, Tri-Regional Board Staff November 1990 Draft Guidelines titled
"Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tank
Sites "
1.4 SCOPE
The scope of WCC's work during the quarter ending December 1991 included the collection
of quarterly groundwater monitoring data.
To conduct this monitoring WCC completed the following tasks-
I measured the water level in each well,
2. purged the wells of approximately three well casing volumes,
I sampled the purged wells for TFH, BTEX, total lead and fecal coliform,
4. submitted the samples collected on December 31, 1991 to Matnx
Environmental Laboratories, Inc (Matrix) in Rancho Cordova, California and
Anlab in Sacramento, California for analysis, and
S evaluated and tabulated the data, and prepared contaminant maps
91CO238RIMAJORMART QRPT 02-2x92 1-7
