Woodward-Cede <br /> Consultants <br /> 1.0 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> The following report summarizes the results of Woodward-Clyde Consultants (WCC) <br /> groundwater monitoring of the Mayor Mart site in Stockton, California for the quarter ending <br /> December 1991 Previous investigations of the site have been conducted by FGL <br /> Environmental Analytical Chemists and WCC, soil and/or groundwater results for these <br /> investigations are also summarized in this report. <br /> l <br /> 1.1 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The Mayor Mart site is an abandoned mini-market/gasoline station located at 1235 East <br /> Alpine Avenue in Stockton, California (Figure 1) Site features include a one-story building <br /> (located on the west central portion of the property) and a canopy (located on the east central <br /> • portion of the property) as shown on Figure 2. The site is bounded by West Lane on the <br /> east, by East Alpine Avenue on the south, and by residential housing on the north and west <br /> 2.2 BACKGROUND <br /> The site began operation as a gasoline service station in the early 1960's The service station <br /> was expanded to include a mini-market in 1986 The site was abandoned in 1989 <br /> In June 1990, three gasoline tanks (6,000 gallon, 8,000 gallon and 10,000 gallon) and an <br /> underground waste oil tank (500 gallon) were removed from the property by the Seibold <br /> Corporation After the gasoline tanks were removed, six soil samples (two samples per tank) <br /> were collected by FGL Environmental Analytical Chemists underneath the tanks as specified <br /> by San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) guidelines and in Table 1 of the <br /> Tri-Regional Board Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of <br /> Underground tank sites, 1990 The samples were submitted to an analytical laboratory (FGL <br /> Environmental Analytical Chemists) for analysis The samples collected underneath the <br /> gasoline tanks were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and total xylenes (BTEX), <br /> total lead, total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) as gasoline and ethylene dibromide (EDB) <br /> Y I <br /> 1-1 <br /> 91CO23BB/MAIORMART QRPP 02-20-92 <br />
