Eliminate spillage <br />The TODD° Safety Break Away couplings are <br />designed to eliminate spillage and damage <br />associated with drive / pull away incidents. <br />The consequences of such incidents can be <br />very serious without breakaway protection <br />and occur more frequently than you would <br />think. The TODO®Safety Break Away coupling <br />system removes the human error element in <br />this area of product transfer. <br />The TODD° Safety Break Away coupling uses a double valve arrangement that ensures closure <br />of both halves before the main seal release to atmosphere. The coupling react if the hose or <br />the loading arm have an excessive load and closes both valves automatically and then permits <br />disconnection. <br />Installation <br />3 <br />The valve is designed to be the weakest link for pulling forces and it is recommeded that it is <br />installed so that the pulling force is perpendicular (90°) to the coupling. See two exampels below. <br />Features <br />• Exceptionally high flow rate / low pressure drop. <br />• Extremely quick closing time, with minimum loss of media. <br />• Simple and safe design, with reduced numbers of components. <br />• Easy to handle. No need to remove the coupling from the hose / loading arm for resetting, <br />maintenance or repair of the unit. <br />• Cover a wide range of applications. <br />
