S ST
an joagain Regional Traa'sH.District
suburban transit activities. The SJRTD's EPA Identification number for its
hazardous waste management activities is CAD981675093. The SJRTD's main
telephone line is 209-948-5566
This SB 14, however, addresses the waste minimization and reduction programs
that are and will be implemented at the Stockton facility located at 1533 E.
Lindsay facility, Stockton, CA. In addition, the calendar year 2002 is the baseline
year for the purposes of this plan and tracking of the source reduction progress
made. During the calendar year 2002, the SJRTD became a LQG and subject
to SB 14. Hence, the SJRTD shall use the calendar year 2002 as the baseline
year for comparing the next four years quantities of hazardous waste streams.
As mentioned earlier, the French Camp facility is a small quantity generator
(SQG) and will also implement waste minimization/reduction on a good faith
basis.
2. The SJRTD SB 14 Plans: Goals and Objectives
The primary goals of the SJRTD's SB 14 plans are to comply with the
aforementioned law and regulations as well as achieving economic and ecologic
efficiencies combined with a sense of balance for the SJRTD's day-to-day
operations. Toward those goals, the SJRTD has developed multi-media
environmental compliance and pollution prevention (P2) programs that provide
the basis for establishing a comprehensive waste minimization (CWM) program
for the SJRTD. The supporting objectives of the SJRTD's CWM program is to
achieve the following:
• Continue in educating and empowering all of the SJRTD's employees,
administrative, and management staff with all applicable EHS
requirements.
4
