TD <br /> An Regional Transit 0151wlct <br /> The generators who are required to comply with the SB 14 regulations as <br /> summarized above are mandated to submit a copy of each document to the <br /> California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DISC), Office of Pollution <br /> Prevention and Technology Development (OPPTD) on or before September 1, <br /> 2003. In addition, the SJRTD has been requested to send a copy of the above <br /> documents to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD). <br /> This PR addresses only the baseline year 2002 as the starting point for the <br /> SJRTD's on site/off site management, and waste reduction efforts. Hence this <br /> PR does not compare the hazardous waste generated and their management <br /> approach during the calendar year 2002 with any other years due to lack of <br /> adequate data and information. Instead this PR will put forth the regulatory <br /> requirements and the SJRTD's means and methods for tracking its source <br /> reduction and WM efforts. <br /> 3. Facility Operations, Activities, and Multi-media P2 Approach <br /> The SJRTD is a 24 hours around the clock facility, involved in a multitude of <br /> maintenance activities involving the following: <br /> • Daily check, cleaning, washing and repair of bus fleet, coaches, trolleys, <br /> and other motor vehicles. <br /> • Periodic preventive maintenance (PM) of buses, coaches, trolleys, and <br /> other motor vehicles. <br /> • Minor and major repair and overhaul of buses and vehicle engines. <br /> • Storage of raw/unused hazardous materials, soaps and cleaning solutions <br /> Storage of unused/raw automotive fluids, oils and other automotive related <br /> parts and materials. <br /> 49 <br />
