Attendees were taken on tours of the shops and <br /> given practical instruction in how to: <br /> Recognize all types of hazardous wastes (including universal wastes) <br /> generated at the SJRTD facilities. <br /> Properly label, date and complete a hazardous waste label. <br /> - Properly manage a container for accumulating hazardous waste. <br /> r Properly manage the accumulation time period (LQG: 90 days, SQG: 180 <br /> days, etc) that hazardous waste is required to be sent off site for proper <br /> recycling and disposal. Satellite accumulation of hazardous waste. <br /> Proper record keeping (manifests. LDR, etc) <br /> Contingency planning, preparedness, and prevention <br /> y Waste minimization: source reduction and evaluation, and SB14 <br /> requirements and their practical implications <br /> Other hazardous waste management requirements <br /> In addition, to the above, the attendees were given hands on instruction in <br /> recognizing best management practices (BMPs) and pollution prevention (P2) measures <br /> that are associated with the storm water management program yet, provide an <br /> overarching coverage over other environmental compliance areas. <br /> Overall, we believe that the design of the foregoing workshops represent an <br /> effective, innovative, and pioneering way to create a learning experience that is <br /> interactive and for all attendees. <br /> In closing, on behalf of the SJRTD, TRE appreciates your continuing spirit of <br /> partnering and guidance.
