Woodward-Clyde Consuiitards <br /> 1.2 PHYSICAL SETTING <br /> The site is an abandoned mini-market/gasoline station (Major Mart) Iocated at 1235 East w <br /> Alpine Avenue in Stockton,California(Figure 1). Site features include a one-story building <br /> (located on the west central portion of the property)and a canopy(totaled on the east central <br /> portion of the property) as shown on Figure 2: The site is bounded by West Lane on the <br /> east, by East Alpine Avenge on the south, and by residential housing on the west and north. <br /> 1.3 SITE HISTORY <br /> Tate site began operation as a gasoline service station in the early 1960's. The rvice station <br /> was expanded to include a mini-market in 1986. The site was abandoned in 1989(Roger to <br /> check). <br /> In June 1990, three gasoline tanks (6,OCO gallon, 6,040 gallon and 10,000 gallon) and an <br /> underground waste oil tank (500 gallon) were removed from the property by the Seibold { '' <br /> Corporation. After the gasoline tanks were removed, six soil samples(two samples per tank) <br /> } were colllected by FGL Environmental Analytical Chemists underneath the tanks as specified l <br /> !. Joaquin Count Public Health Services (SJCPHS) guidelines.and in Table i of the <br /> by San q y F, <br /> I <br /> Tri-Regional. Board Recommendations.for Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of <br /> t Fa Underground tank sites, 1990. The samples were submitted to an analytical laboratory(FGL <br /> Environmental Analytical Chemists) for analysis.
