There must be at least one <br />emergency coordinator on site or on call to coordinate emergency response measures, and the following information <br />must be posted by a phone: the name and phone number of the emergency coordinator; location of fire extinguishers, <br />spill control equipment, and if present, fire alarm; and the phone number of the fire department, unless the facility has <br />a direct alarm. Immediately appoint an emergency coordinator and post the required information by a phone. A form <br />is provided that can be used for this purpose. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />117 <br />HSC 25404(e)(4) Failed to report program data electronically. <br />A submission to the California Electronic Reporting System (CERS) for the hazardous waste program has not been <br />made. Beginning January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all new (or any changes to existing) <br />hazardous waste information online to the CERS at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include your hazardous <br />waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant activities and required <br />fields. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />301 <br />CCR 66262.34(4)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br />Wet dark oil stains were found on the facility shop floor next to the north east wall of the shop. Oil was spilled near the <br />outside storage rack just north of the east bay roll up door of the facility shop . Facilities shall be maintained and <br />operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water <br />which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean up the spilled oil and oily debris next to the <br />outside storage rack, and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and <br />supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />403 <br />CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br />waste. <br />A black cut open drum of used oil in the facility shop was left open. At the east wall of the facility shop is an open <br />metal container of used oil that was left on the shelf on top of the box of aerosols. All hazardous waste containers <br />shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste.
