("Kearney") resolve by <br /> 19 agreement the issues raised by the Corrective Action Order and Complaint for Civil <br /> 20 Penalty issued by the Department to Kearney on August 21, 1989. The parties desire <br /> 21 to resolve this matter without expensive and protracted litigation, in a manner which <br /> 22 adequately addresses the management of hazardous waste at Kearney, has a beneficial <br /> 23 effect on the environment and is in the public interest.
