The zone <br /> shall be estimated prior to drilling using <br /> electric and drillers' logs from on and off-site <br /> deep wells. <br /> o installing deep monitoring wells in the lower <br /> water-bearing zone (180 to 220 feet in depth) . <br /> o submit contaminant concentration contour maps <br /> depicting the extent of hazardous waste <br /> constituents in the ground water. <br /> Violation #5 shall be corrected by performing aquifer <br /> and/or slug and bail tests on wells instaiicd iin: the <br /> future. Both drawdown and recovery water levels shall <br /> be collected and analyzed to determine hydraulic <br /> conductivity, transmissivity and velocity. The method <br /> of analysis shall be appropriate to the conditions at <br /> the site and the assumptions and conditions shall be <br /> explained in text. <br /> Violation #6 shall be corrected immediately by taking <br /> monthly water level measurements and performing <br /> quarterly water quality sampling. Because the ground <br /> water flow direction and gradient varies, the facility <br /> shall conduct monthly water level measurements, place a <br /> continuous recorder on a strategically located on-site <br /> well, and collect, analyze, and compare pumpage records <br /> from surrounding supply wells to on-site data. <br /> Analyses for volatile and semi-volatile organic <br /> constituents and heavy metals (those listed in Section <br /> 66699 of Title 22 of the California Health and Safety <br /> Code) shall be performed on all ground water samples <br /> for a least four consecutive quarters (one year) . <br /> After at least one year, some or all heavy metal <br /> constituents may be eliminated from the analyses. As <br /> additional wells are installed and elevations are <br /> surveyed, the previously installed wells (B-series, <br /> SMW-series, DMW-1 and TP-series) shall also be included <br /> in the survey. <br /> As soon as the violations are corrected, please send written <br /> certification that the above violations have been corrected, <br /> along with a signed copy of the attached certification <br /> statement. <br /> The Department will conduct a re-inspection of Kearney-KPF <br /> in the future to verify compliance. <br />
