Kearney, in future groundwater monitoring submittals needs to
include an estimate of mass removed resulting from the groundwater pump and treat system and
provide hydrographs in color. Please be advised that the Department of Toxic Substances
Control (DTSC)may provide comments on these submittals separately.
During recent correspondence with DTSC, it is apparent that Kearney submitted a work plan
earlier in 2005 but did not provide a copy for Regional Board staff. Although DTSC is the lead
agency for the site, with the exception of the oversight regarding WDRs Order No. 5-01-269,
Kearney must provide copies of all correspondence to Regional Board staff. By 1 July 2005,
submit any and all reports provided to DTSC during 2005 that have not previously been
submitted to Regional Board staff. The above lists all reports that Regional Board staff has
received during 2005.
As of 15 June 2005, I will no longer be the case manager for this site. Although monthly reports
have been submitted by email, these reports will now need to be mailed in until a new case
California Environmental Protection Agency
Zp Recycled Paper
