Box 128 <br /> Lathrop, California 95330 <br /> Re: Libbev Owens Ford <br /> Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permit No.93-3 <br /> Dear Mr: Weiss: <br /> The City of Manteca Public Works Department and the City' s <br /> industrial wastewater consultant Montgomery Watson have <br /> completed the review of the Libbey Owens Ford Application for an <br /> Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permit. <br /> A copy of Montgomery Watson' s report is enclosed for your <br /> information. <br /> Your proposed pretreatment program for removal of sodium <br /> chromate from approximately 550,000 gallons of furnace cooling <br /> water, prior to discharge to the City of Manteca POTW, is <br /> approved subject to the conditions listed on Attachment 1 of <br /> Permit No. 93-3 and the following: (A copy of Attachment 1 is <br /> enclosed for your information) <br /> 1 . Provide information on means of returning treated cooling <br /> water to the holding tanks for retreatment of water that does <br /> not meet discharge limits. <br /> 2 . The pretreatment facility must be inspected by Mr. Warren <br /> Shannon, Wastewater Systems Superintendent, and myself prior to <br /> discharge to the POTW. <br /> Please remit payment to the City of Manteca in the amount of <br /> $535.00 as reimbursement for Montgomery Watson' s services to <br /> review your permit application. Send remittance to my attention. <br /> Upon compliance with the above conditions and receipt of your <br /> payment, you will be issued the permit for a term of one year. <br /> 1001 W.
