LFR, Inc. . <br /> the site, the work, activities, site personnel, workers, persons, or subcontractors in this <br /> HSP are with respect to LFR work only. <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located east of Navy Drive, in an industrial portion of Stockton, California. <br /> The Site consists of a petroleum pipeline manifold area operated by SFPP. The site is <br /> located south of the Time Oil and Tesoro facilities and north-northwest of the ST <br /> Services and former Unocal facilities, all of which contain several aboveground <br /> petroleum storage tanks, some of which have been operated by SFPP in the past. <br /> SFPP has conducted several subsurface investigations to evaluate soil and groundwater <br /> conditions beneath the site since the early 1990s. These investigations have included <br /> installing and periodic monitoring of 10 groundwater monitoring wells (SP/M-1 <br /> through SP/M-10). Monitoring well SP/M-2 was destroyed during July 1992 in <br /> accordance San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department guidelines. The <br /> remaining nine wells are used for semiannual and/or annual groundwater monitoring <br /> and sampling in accordance with the Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP) <br /> Number R5-2005-0815 (issued on April 22, 2005; "the MRP"). <br /> 3.0 PLANNED SITE ACTIVITIES <br /> Scheduled work will consist of the following activities: <br /> • Drilling <br /> • Groundwater sampling <br /> • Monitoring well installation <br /> • Soil sampling <br /> • Product recovery and soil excavation with shovels and/or backhoe equipment <br /> • Confirmation sampling <br /> • PID air monitoring <br /> Work is anticipated to begin on July 1, 2006 and is anticipated to last several years <br /> (ongoing project). <br /> Page 2 KMEP-Stockt0n-HASPV1.doc:LFR <br />
