LFR, Inc. .
the site, the work, activities, site personnel, workers, persons, or subcontractors in this
HSP are with respect to LFR work only.
2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND
The site is located east of Navy Drive, in an industrial portion of Stockton, California.
The Site consists of a petroleum pipeline manifold area operated by SFPP. The site is
located south of the Time Oil and Tesoro facilities and north-northwest of the ST
Services and former Unocal facilities, all of which contain several aboveground
petroleum storage tanks, some of which have been operated by SFPP in the past.
SFPP has conducted several subsurface investigations to evaluate soil and groundwater
conditions beneath the site since the early 1990s. These investigations have included
installing and periodic monitoring of 10 groundwater monitoring wells (SP/M-1
through SP/M-10). Monitoring well SP/M-2 was destroyed during July 1992 in
accordance San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department guidelines. The
remaining nine wells are used for semiannual and/or annual groundwater monitoring
and sampling in accordance with the Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP)
Number R5-2005-0815 (issued on April 22, 2005; "the MRP").
3.0 PLANNED SITE ACTIVITIES
Scheduled work will consist of the following activities:
• Drilling
• Groundwater sampling
• Monitoring well installation
• Soil sampling
• Product recovery and soil excavation with shovels and/or backhoe equipment
• Confirmation sampling
• PID air monitoring
Work is anticipated to begin on July 1, 2006 and is anticipated to last several years
(ongoing project).
Page 2 KMEP-Stockt0n-HASPV1.doc:LFR
