Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant activities and required fields. Note: The storm water on this site is collected in a sump and pumped over a wall into the gravel secondary containment of the tank farm at Nustar(2941 Navy Dr.). According to Mr. McClellan, all storm water is inspected for sheen prior to pumping it and the water is only pumped to the Nustar secondary when it is well above the ground level and the top of the sump, allowing for easy visual inspection of the surface. 'Rainwater Discharge Inspection Reports"were reviewed on site which state: 'This form is used to record visual inspection of rainwater prior to discharge to the NUSTAR Tank Farm. Rainwater must be free of visible sheen prior to disposal." Twelve discharges were noted for 2016, all of which listed the water condition as "clear." Note: According to Mr. McClellan: -The oil-water separator is no longer in use and has been disconnected from their systems. The transmix, which includes a small amount of rainwater caught in drainage collections, is placed back into the product. Page 3 of 4
