<br /> DRAFT CLEANUP AND ABATEMENT ORDER, PORT OF STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
<br /> By letters dated 16 June 1987, 2 October 1987, and 17 March 1988, the Regional
<br /> Board requested you provide us with a complete Technical Report regarding the soil
<br /> and ground water contamination at the Port of Stockton. This report was to define
<br /> the extent of contamination, propose techniques to remediate the problem, and
<br /> include many other points, as noted in the aforementioned letters. Except for
<br /> reports from a few tenants, we have not seen any evidence of progress in the
<br /> ground water investigation since April 1988.
<br /> Because of the lack of progress, we are proposing a Cleanup and Abatement Order.
<br /> Enclosed is a draft of the Order for your review. Please respond by 27 January
<br /> 1989 with any comments.
