Immediately <br /> close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> 501 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label stationary hazardous waste tanks. <br /> Used oil tank in the basement needs the label attached to the tank. Label was near the tank but not attached. All <br /> hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with the words"Hazardous Waste"and the accumulation start date. <br /> Immediately ensure that all hazardous waste tanks are marked with the required information. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 502 CCR 66265.192(a)Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements. <br /> Facility does not have a tank assessment for the white plastic 120 gallon oily liquid tank in the dumpster area. The <br /> owner or operator of a hazardous waste tank shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an <br /> independent,qualified, professional engineer, registered in California attesting that the system has sufficient <br /> structural integrity, is acceptable for the transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks <br /> and containment system are suitably designed. Immediately have an assessment prepared for the white plastic 120 <br /> gallon oily liquid tank in the dumpster area. Submit a schedule showing when this will be accomplished to the EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> 505 CCR 66265.193 Hazardous waste tank system lacks secondary containment. <br /> Secondary containment was not provided for the white plastic 120 gallon oily liquid tank in the dumpster area. <br /> Secondary containment shall be provided for tank systems to prevent the release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> constituents to the environment. Secondary containment shall be designed, installed, and operated to prevent any <br /> migration of wastes or accumulated liquid out of the system to the soil,ground water, or surface water at any time <br /> during the use of the tank system, and capable of detecting and collecting releases and accidental accumulated <br /> liquids until the collected material is removed.
