According to Mr. Prost, the oil was in <br /> the containers at least overnight. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or <br /> removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not <br /> adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored <br /> on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. The following were observed on site with no accumulation <br /> start date: <br /> -A 55 gallon blue steel drum of hazardous waste solids outside the shed <br /> -The used antifreeze tank, with an open fill hole, containing liquid <br /> Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br /> hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest. Submit a copy of the manifest(s)to the EHD within <br /> 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> -Several drain pans were observed in the shop containing used oil with no labels. According to Mr. Prost, the oil was <br /> in the containers at least overnight. <br /> -A 55 gallon blue steel drum of hazardous waste solids was observed outside the shed with no generator information, <br /> no contents, and no accumulation start date. <br /> -The used antifreeze tank was observed with an open fill hole, containing liquid, with only the contents labeled ('used <br /> antifreeze"). <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties (ignitable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> -physical state (liquid, solid) <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> All hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with the words"Hazardous Waste"and the accumulation start date. <br /> Immediately ensure that all hazardous waste tanks are marked with the required information. <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Page 5 of 6 <br />
