Miner, Stockton Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Com I <br /> report of the Routine Hazardous Waste (HW) inspection conducted at the referenced facility by <br /> quin County Environmental Health Department (EHD). The facility is a large quantity generatorng 6.5 tons of HW in 2009. The following are Minor Violations - Notice to Comply: <br /> rved two 55-gallon Used-Oil (UO) containers and one 55-gallon antifreeze container without <br /> ls.HW containers must be labeled with the following minimum information: 1) Generator name and <br /> , 3) Accumulation start date, 4) Content, 5) Physical state6) Hazardous Property <br /> mmediately correct the violation as state above, and continue this practice for all HW containers in <br /> the future. Provide evidence of correction to EHD. <br /> 30. Observed two 55-gallon empty HW or Hazardous Material containers outside (west) the service bay. <br /> -- Empty HW or HM containers greater than 5 gallons shall be marked with the date when they first <br /> became empty, and manage them within one year of storage on site. <br /> * Immediately manage the above empty HW or HM containers by disposing, recycling, or reuse. <br /> Begin marking all empty HW or HM containers greater than 5-gallon with the date when they first <br /> became empty, and managed within one year of storage on site. <br /> 50. Unable to determine the length of storage of the three containers referenced in item #20 above. <br /> HW must be managed within 180 days of storage on site. <br /> * Immediately dispose the above HW to a permitted facility in accordance to Title 22, and submit a <br /> copy of the disposal receipt to EHD by October 15, 2010. <br /> NOTES (The following are not violations) <br /> 7. Observed liquid in secondary containment pan under the three containers referenced in item #20 <br /> above, and in a 5-gallon bucket in the same area. Generator shall make HW determination of the waste <br /> and managing the waste accordingly, or handle it as HW in accordance to CCR Title 22. Observed <br /> generator identified liquid as UO and emptied to UO containers to be disposed as required in item #50 <br /> above. Violation was corrected on site. <br /> 23. Observed one 55-gallon UO container not properly labeled and closed. Drained UO filters shall be <br /> stored in a container that is closed in a manner that prevents spillage if the container is on its side, <br /> properly labeled with the words "drained used oil filters" and the initial date of accumulation, and <br /> managed within one year of storage. Observed container labelled and closed with a band on the lid <br /> during this inspection.
