Investigation by our county health department and
this office revealed the use of Simple Green to mask tests taken
at sites where underground tanks were removed. Statements were
made by those involved in this process that this technique was
used "in Los Angeles and San Francisco" . As our defendant has
been involved in the removal of tanks in many counties this
creates a rather large problem of how to address the question of
forcing him to retest these sites, and what retesting protocols
should be. -
I think a meeting with someone from your office, our local health
department, and me would be helpful to discuss these issues.
Sincerely,
OFFICE /O,F' THE DDIIS,TRICT ATTORNEY
L F.
