American
Stockton, CA
Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division, (PHS/EHD)
has completed review of the underground storage tank file and the
site mitigation file. The following comments are to be addressed
90 days from the date of this letter.
1. In the March 15, 1990, Canonie laboratory report,
analysis of samples associated with the 8000 gallon
regular-leaded underground storage tank and dispenser
revealed lead and metal concentrations above the soluble
threshold limit concentrations (STLC) . (Based on initial
total threshold limit concentration results, Article 11,
Section 66700 of California Code of Regulations, the
following metals must undergo the Waste Extraction Test
analysis: Arsenic, Barium, Chromium, Copper, Nickel and
Vanadium. ) These levels exceeded STLC but were below
total threshold limit concentrations (TTLC) given for the
metals. Further sampling and analysis will be required
to determine which portion of the concentrations of the
above mentioned metals are soluble. Submit a work plan
for the additional soil investigation.
2 . Manifests for the rinsate have not been submitted for the
former underground storage tanks removed from the site.
Please submit manifests.
3 . The FGL lab report dated August 14, 1990, did not include
a chain of custody or a sampling map. Furthermore,
within the lab report samples #2 and 13 were referenced
but there was no reference with respect to sample #1.
Please submit a chain of custody and information
regarding sample #1.
A Division of San Joaquin County Hralth Cave Services C'
