Skin Contact In the event contact is made between exposed skin <br /> and a chemical(s), IMMEDIATELY wash the exposed area with a <br /> large amount of water. Remove any contaminated clothing and <br />' rewash the exposed skin Transport the person to the hospital. <br />' 4. Evers: Hold eyelid(s) open, and IMMEDIATELY commence to rinse <br /> the eye(s) with copious amounts of water, and continue to do so <br /> for at least 15 minutes If possible, have the person remove <br /> his/her contact lenses (if worn). Never permit the eyes to be <br /> rubbed if a decision is made to transport the injured individual to <br />' a medical facility, instruct a person remaining on the site to <br /> telephone the receiving medical facility and state the situation, <br /> including the nature of the injury. Transport the injured person to <br /> the designated hospital The SSO and/or Field Team Leader will <br /> have an eye wash kit <br />' 5 Other Types of Exposure If a person is unconscious, check for <br /> cardiac function, and if necessary initiate Cardio-Pulmonary <br />' Resuscitation (CPR). Then telephone 911 and appraise them of <br /> the exact location of the accident.
