Periodic <br />training is provided to specific personnel in the proper operation of the fire <br />extinguishers. Fire extinguishers are inspected monthly to ensure that they are in good <br />operating order. <br />Fire hoses are for use by professional fire fighters only. Employees are not <br />authorized to use the fire hoses. READ THE LABEL <br />Attempt to extinguish a small fire with a fire extinguisher. <br />Ensure that you have the proper training on how to use a fire extinguisher. If this effort fails, <br />immediately contact your Supervisor and evacuate the building. <br />Ensure that you can escape if you cannot control the fire. Do not get trapped. Make sure the fire is NOT <br />between you and your exit. <br />Follow the emergency evacuation process as outlined in this manual. <br />01-14-13 8 <br />
