L <br />Unified <br />RECEIVED <br />STOCKTON DISTRIBUTION OPERATING PROCEDURES JUL 2 8 214 <br />SAL VA GE PERSON PROCEDURES r, „ _ <br />[vivnALNTAL HEALTH <br />DEPARTMENT <br />Overview <br />Salvage workers are responsible for scanning cases in a timely fashion while working at a safe and <br />productive pace. Since this is such an essential part of the warehouse operation, specific procedures <br />need to be adhered to, in order to maintain safety, inventory accuracy, and efficient production. <br />Safe, efficient, and productive operation of a salvage worker is a requirement of this job. Any <br />employee who violates this policy will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including <br />termination. <br />1. See your Supervisor/Foreman to get job assignment for the day. <br />2. Obtain scan gun from the charging station located at the salvage department. You have <br />6 minutes to get started on your assignment. <br />3. Always report to your assigned work area prepared and ready to work with all <br />necessary equipment needed to perform your job. <br />4. The feeder will get a pallet from the MRM trailer and take it to the beginning of the <br />rollers. Make sure to work the oldest pallets first. <br />5. The feeder will then match up paperwork versus the commodity on the returned pallet. <br />6. At the same time the feeder will make sure all product returned has a good date and is <br />in re -saleable condition. <br />7. If the product is damaged or partial case quantities place on a separate pallet for the <br />reclamation center. <br />8. Any product that is re -saleable, (Return to stock) the feeder will pass the product down <br />the rollers to the scanner person. <br />9. The feeder keys in the MRM date, MRM number, account number and cases into the <br />Processed MRM sheet located on the G -drive. <br />10. The scanner person identifies if the case is Return to Stock, then scans the outside <br />UPC barcode, if the outside barcode does not read then the case must be opened so an <br />individual unit can be scanned. <br />11. Tape cases as needed before returning to stock. <br />12. Once the case has been scanned a new label will be printed. <br />13. The new label then gets placed on the case. <br />14. The case gets placed on a pallet to be returned to stock. <br />15. The completed Return to Stock pallet then gets taken to door 109 by the salvage fork <br />operator. These pallets will be returned to stock by an inventory control person. <br />16. Before going on break or to lunch you must scan the Break barcode or Lunch barcode. <br />17. After returning from break or lunch, you must scan onto a case to clock you back in <br />from break or lunch. <br />18. When you are assigned to a miscellaneous assignment, see your supervisor to scan <br />onto miscellaneous indirect assignment. This will stop your production. As soon as <br />4/1/13 <br />
