Maintain a high Leval of communication between 'acal authorities and Unified <br /> personnel <br /> 2 Incorporate Flood scenarios into Emergency Evacuation Drills and Safety meeungs <br /> to maintain a level of awareness. <br /> 3. Maintain necessary equipment, i,e , pumps and squeegees that can be used to <br /> remove water from the building <br /> Minor Flooding Due to Broken Pipes or Mains <br /> 1, Notify maintenance immediately upon discovery of flooding, <br /> 2. Shut off water ars the general area if vossible. if not shut off mains and make repairs <br /> 3 Shut off eiectrrcai power in the area to preve^t electrocution. Use LOTD as needed <br /> 4. Once repairs are made,maintenance will authorize normal operations <br /> Flood Event or Imminent danger Posed by Local Water Levels <br /> 1. Upon notification by local agencies that a danger exists: <br /> a. The Building Chief will nottfy senior management and inform them of the <br /> situation.they will deade If a facility shut down is warranted. <br /> 2. If a shut down is ordered the Building Chief will notify ail supervisors immediately. <br /> 3. 5upereisors will communicate with employees to eva,-nate the facility and move to <br /> higher ground,or to go home. <br /> 4 The Building Chief will oversee Lha facility shut down. <br /> 5. Maintenance will then: <br /> a. Shut dawn utilities, (gasiwaterielectncityi <br /> b. Close and secure inner access doors. <br /> c Secure the building(s)..and move to safety. <br /> fl. Cance the danger has passed! <br /> a. Cance the Building Chief is informed by local agencies that the threat to. <br /> life ani property has passed, normal operations may then resume. <br /> x2:240• '.z <br />
