CPT Investigation Work Plan Summary <br /> Geosyntec Consultants—October 2012 <br /> Field Investigation <br /> A cone penetrometer test (CPT) investigation will be conducted with the objective of evaluating the <br /> vertical and horizontal extent of 1,2-DCP and 1,2,3-TCPin groundwater. One CPT bring will be <br /> advanced to as deep as the CPT rig can push until refusal, or until a maximum depth of 150 feet below <br /> ground surface (ft bgs) downgradient of the former John Taylor Fertilizers facility (the "Site"), located at <br /> 1819 South Argonaut Street in Stockton, California. CPT logs will be completed at the proposed area <br /> shown in the attached figure, on the Interstate 5 right-of-way (landscaped area) of West Charter Way, <br /> southbound on-ramp, Stockton. One to two additional borings will be conducted immediately adjacent to <br /> the CPT boring for sample collection. This CPT investigation was approved by the Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board, as indicated in the attached letter dated 17 May 2012, and access to the parcel was <br /> approved by the California Department of Transportation, as indicated by the approved permit <br /> No. 10 1 2-6SV-0524 dated 20 September 2012. <br /> Pre-Field Activities <br /> Prior to field activities, the existing Site Health and Safety Plan will be updated as needed in accordance <br /> with California OSHA requirements. <br /> Underground Service Alert (USA) will be notified 48-hours in advance of invasive subsurface work, and <br /> a private utility locator has been retained to perform a geophysical survey in the vicinity of each boring <br /> location to identify utilities,pipelines, or other subsurface obstructions. <br />
