Sinclair Avenue <br />Stockton, CA 95215 <br />(209) 774-5000 <br />EPA ID# CAR 000 216 556 <br />Description of Aerosol Can Puncturing Activities <br />ECS Refining has purchased a commercially available aerosol can puncturing device that <br />is mounted on the top of a steel 55 -gallon drum. The can is held by the device and <br />punctured, which allows the contents of the can to drain into the drum for collection. <br />Once the can is empty, it is removed from the device and accumulated as an empty <br />aerosol can (classified as scrap metal). The device contains an air pollution control filter <br />to capture any emissions. <br />Type of Cans Punctured and Estimated Monthly Quantity <br />ECS Refining uses this can puncturing device for aerosol cans that contain paint.
