ONLY employees who have been authorized shall handle PCB <br /> contaminated materials, PCB transformers and capacitors, <br /> and PCB storage containers. (See attached list) <br /> 2. PCB spill crew members shall be trained as to the potential <br /> health hazards of PCB <br /> 3. Personal protective equipment must be worn as follows: <br /> a. Chemical goggles to protect the eyes <br /> b. Disposable impervious clothing to protect the skin, <br /> your personal clothing and shoes <br /> C, Wear an organic cartridge respirator when PCB' s <br /> are vaporized under heated conditions <br /> 4. Barricade and post warning signs at the spill site: <br /> "Caution - Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB ' s) - authorized <br /> personnel only" <br /> 5. Keep unauthorized personnel out of the contaminated area <br /> 6. Do not eat, drink nor smoke while handling PCB <br /> 7. Place all contaminated articles in D.O.T. type H tested <br /> drums with PCB labels affixea <br /> 8. Place all PCB liquids in D.O.T. type E tested drums with <br /> PCB labels affixed <br /> 9. Wash affected skin areas thoroughly with soap and water if <br /> you come into contact with PCB <br />
