Accumulation <br /> start date is marked and visible on all containers. <br /> 2 Containers in good condition. If a container leaks, bulges,or is damaged, <br /> transfer the waste to a new container. <br /> 3 Waste compatible with container. For example, use HDPE plastic containers <br /> for corrosive waste instead of metal drums/containers. <br /> 4 Keep containers closed and use self-closing funnels when adding waste. <br /> 5 Containers storing incompatible waste must be separated or protected from <br /> each other. Don't place wastes that can react with each other(acid& <br /> caustic)in the same container and keep separated in storage. <br /> 6 Containers must be protected from precipitation and leaks. Don't le <br /> rainwater or snow accumulate on top of containers and don't let spil,,r lea <br /> corrode or damage other containers in storage. <br /> 7 Containers of ignitable or reactive waste must be stored at least 50 ft.fro <br /> ro <br /> Rpq line. <br /> 8 Containers of ignitable waste must be individually grounded. <br /> 9 Hazardous waste containers must be clearly marked"Haze us <br /> 10 Waste must be packagedAabeled/marked per DOT during en on-s <br /> storage period.
