Valpico Road, Tracy CA Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> All Violations are currently Class II <br /> #7 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste: <br /> At time of inspection <br /> -several aerosol cans, with waste in them, were seen in metal container along with trash <br /> -assorted 1 to 5 gallon containers in the hazardous waste storage area <br /> Immediately make a hazardous waste determination pursuant to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations and handle <br /> accordingly or handle as hazardous waste. Within 30 days, July N, 2010, provide written documentation describing how this <br /> waste was handled. Note-15 aerosol cans were removed from the metal container at time of inspection. <br /> #11 Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste: <br /> At time of inspection 1-55 gallon drum marked "Used oil and Chain and Cable oil"was seen outside the secondary <br /> containment in the hazardous waste storage area. The drum had free standing dark liquid on the top and appeared to <br /> overflow, leak, spill onto the dirt near the drum. Facilities must be maintained in a way to minimize the release of a <br /> hazardous waste or hazardous waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the <br /> environment. Immediately clean the affected areas, handling the hazardous waste pursuant to Title 22 regulations and begin <br /> this practice of maintaining the facility in such a way to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> #18 Stored hazardous waste on site greater than 90 days without a permit or authorization: <br /> At time of inspection there were no start accumulation dates on any of the hazardous waste stored on site. <br /> 13-55 gallon drums in the hazardous waste storage area <br /> 5-5 gallon buckets in the hazardous waste storage area <br /> 1-5 gallon bucket in the maintenance shop <br /> Hazardous waste generators who generate >1000kg U^ NY A14-0 � 00AL, r( � <br /> Immediately have all hazardous waste removed by a licensed hazardous waste hauler. Within 30 days, July 1,r, 2010, provide <br /> this office with a copy of the hazardous waste manifest. <br /> #20 Failed to completely label containers of hazardous waste: <br /> At time of inspection all storage containers of hazardous waste were inadequately labeled. Several drums had blank <br /> hazardous waste labels. 1 drum was labeled "Used oil" &""Chain and Cable Oil". 1 drum was labeled "Used Compressor <br /> Oil". 1 drum had a blank hazardous waste label with a sticker underneath it labeled "Steam Off'. <br /> All containers of hazardous waste must be labeled at a minimum with the following information at all times: <br /> 1-Words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2-Generator name and address <br /> 3-Contents <br /> 4-Physical State <br /> 5-Hazardous property <br /> 6-Start accumulation date <br /> Immediately properly label all containers of hazardous waste. <br /> Sample label provided. <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE($115). <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector: Re Title: <br /> EHD 23-02-00 06/01/10 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
