Failed to determine if waste is a hazardous waste. Inside the "trash" metal bin of the maintenance <br />shop, there was an oily absorbent pad and oily red rag. Any person who generates a waste shall <br />determine if waste is a hazardous waste. Make a hazardous determination for the waste oily absorbent <br />pad and red rag. and manage them according to the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Maintenance <br />employee removed the oily contaminated waste from the trash metal bin and placed into the hazardous <br />waste container. Submit a statement how to ensure maintenance/ mechanic employees are properly <br />managing and disposing any oily contaminated waste. <br />808 & 809. Failed to label universal waste to identify type of universal waste. Approximately 9 CRT box <br />style computer monitors and 3 CPUs units are stored in an unused office room. Facility's old computer <br />monitors have been replaced with flat screen LCD. CPUs are to be sent to corporate for salvage. It is <br />unclear how long these waste electronic devices have been stored in the unused office room. Universal <br />waste must be properly labeled with type of waste. Immediately label any waste electronic devices are <br />"Universal Waste" and type of waste. Universal waste can remain on site for up to 1 year. Correct by <br />labeling the CPUs as "Universal Waste - CPUs" with date of accumulation. Any future electronic devices <br />must be properly labeled. Provide disposal receipt for computer monitors to EHD. <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE <br />EHD 22-02 Rev 04/19/12 <br />Page 4 <br />HW INSPECTION REPORT <br />
