Facilities that generate <br />up to one ton of used oil filters per year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that generate one ton or more <br />of used oil filters may store the filters for up to 180 days. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and <br />submit a copy of the bill of lading to the EHD <br />Several drained used oil filters were not in a labeled container and the black 55 gallon drum of drained used oil <br />filters was open. Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as <br />"drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately containerize and close the 55 <br />gallon drum of used oil filters and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br />Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the last three years were not found on site. A copy of each bill of <br />lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all bills of lading for used oil filters <br />for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by February 10, 2016 . <br />Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials <br />information online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
