A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of, <br /> transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without a hazardous waste ID number. Go to the DTSC web site <br /> http://www.dtsc.ca.gov/IDManifest/PERMHWID.cfm for the form to reactivate the ID number . Immediately reactivate <br /> your hazardous waste ID number and submit evidence to the EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> An open black plastic container of used absorbent was observed under the sink in the back room. No steps have <br /> been taken to prevent the gasoline vapors from escaping into the air. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to <br /> minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could <br /> threaten human health or the environment. Immediately close this container and take all necessary precautions to <br /> ensure gasoline is not released into the environment. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> An open black plastic container of used absorbent was observed under the sink in the back room. All hazardous <br /> waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close this <br /> container or place the waste in a properly closed container, and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> An black plastic container of used absorbent was observed under the sink in the back room with no label. According <br /> to disposal records, absorbent was last disposed of on 7/28/16. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of <br /> hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site <br /> up to 180 days. Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact <br /> a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest.
