Be sure to include your hazardous <br /> waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant activities and required <br /> fields. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> Observed a used oil tank with the accumulation start date was labeled as 3/15/12. According to John, he started his <br /> business at this facility in April 2015 so the waste could have not been stored longer than 180 days. He also stated <br /> that he had used oil picked up a week prior to inspection date, July 8, but could not verified since there were no <br /> disposal record available. All hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with the words"Hazardous Waste'and the an <br /> accurate accumulation start date. Immediately ensure that all hazardous waste tanks are marked with the accurate <br /> and required information. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> Observed a 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters with the accumulation start date 3/14/13. According to John, he <br /> started his business at this facility in April 2015 so the waste could have not been stored longer than 180 days. Used <br /> oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used oil filters," <br /> and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately label this container with an accurate accumulation start <br /> date and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> *'*Conducted an initial hazardous waste inspection on July 8, 2015. This official inspection report supersedes the <br /> checklist left onsite at the time of inspection. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by October 2, 2015. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
