The facility has forklift maintenance that generates used oil and used oil <br /> filiters making the facility a hazardous waste generator. <br /> Beginning January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all new(or any changes to existing)hazardous <br /> waste information online to the CERS at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include your hazardous waste activity <br /> in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant activities and required fields. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7 Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> Three 55 gallon drums and two plastic drums were found behind the main building. <br /> Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they <br /> were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> Immediately manage all empty containers and provide disposal records. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> Three oil filters were observed on top of a five gallon bucket behind the main building.Also,the forklift maintenance <br /> company take oil filters back to their facility. <br /> Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used <br /> oil filters,"and marked with an accumulation start date. Dispose of the filters within one year. <br /> Provide the disposal records for the three oil filters.The disposal records shall contain the point of generation, date <br /> of service, number of filters, and destination of oil filters. Retain the receipts from the forklift maintenance company <br /> for three years. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, January 13, 2019. <br /> Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
