Woodbridge Winery Response to San Joaquin County EHInspection Report <br /> 1/5/2012 <br /> Item #301 <br /> 301.There are several dark spots on the dirt next to the diesel and gasoline fuel tanks where fuel has <br /> spilled.The dark stained dirt has the smell of fuel. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to <br /> minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air,soil, or surface water <br /> which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean up the spilled fuel and <br /> fuel contaminated dirt,and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations.Submit a <br /> statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed by 2-6-2012. <br /> On January 9, 2012 Woodbridge Facilities Maintenance removed and contained the contaminated soil in <br /> a sealed, weather tight container with proper hazardous material labeling for pick up by our <br /> environmental management company.The source of the spillage was identified; items were repaired <br /> and returned to service in working condition.To prevent future spills onto the bare ground, large <br /> metallic drip pans have been placed onto the working areas around the diesel fuel tank. Procedures <br /> have also been implemented that will ensure all fuel transfers occur on these pans and all spills be <br /> cleaned immediately. Exhibits below show the clean up and preventative measures. <br />
