It would appear that these filters have been on site longer than one <br /> year. Facilities that generate up to one ton of used oil filters per year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities <br /> that generate one ton or more of used oil filters may store the filters for up to 180 days. Immediately recycle these <br /> filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of lading to the EHD. <br /> Oil was left to accumulate in the bottom of the drum of drained used oil filters.The drum ring was not affixed to close <br /> the lid to the drum. Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil,stored in a closed,rainproof container,labeled <br /> as"drained used oil filters,"and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately remove the oil and place it into <br /> the used oil drum,store only drained used oil filters in the drum for drained used oil filters,affix the drum ring to close <br /> the lid to the drum,and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> On site to conduct a routine hazardous waste inspection report. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation,and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by 9-5-16. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS)at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include <br /> your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant <br /> activities and required fields. <br /> AFTER THE COMPLIANCE DATE,EHD WILL BILL FOR ALL TIME AND ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH BRINGING THIS <br /> FACILITY BACK INTO COMPLIANCE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> Received by: Date: August 05,2016 Inspector.
