All facilities shall be equipped with an internal <br /> communication or alarm system, a device capable of calling outside emergency help, spill control equipment, and <br /> decontamination equipment at all times. Immediately provide spill control equipment and maintain on site. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> One 55-gallon drum full of fuel-water mixture from the UST system was observed on site in the garbage storage area. <br /> The drum was labeled "hazardous waste" only . Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per <br /> month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. It is <br /> unknown how long the waste has been stored on site. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to <br /> dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> On site on March 17, 2016 for a routine hazardous waste generator inspection. Permission to perform the <br /> inspection, collect samples, if necessary, and take photos was given by Haji Alam, President. <br /> Note: <br /> Observed in the waste storage area three open white five-gallon buckets full of brine that were not labeled; two <br /> open orange five-gallon buckets full of unknown liquid that were not labeled, and one fifty-five gallon drum full of <br /> fuel-water mixture from the UST system sumps that was open and not labeled. Haji Alam closed the fifty-five <br /> gallon drum and stated that all of the waste in the two orange buckets will be placed in a fifty-five gallon drum and <br /> all drums will be labeled properly with a label that states: hazardous waste, name and address of the facility, <br /> substance in the drums, physical properties, chemical properties and date when the drum was first filled. Haji <br /> stated that he has already contacted a licensed hazardous waste hauler to remove the drum that does not have a <br /> 'start date'. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by April 16, 2016 . <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
