As I reviewed this inspection report item 102 stood
out to everyone. This trailer was not entered during your inspection, but viewed from 20 feet away. I
remember inviting you to inspect this OS& D trailer to confirm the empty salvage drums, etc., but you
opted not to at that time.
These bright yellow empty salvage drums (see photo) are used for packaging returned items to our
salvage house. It appears in the inspection report that these were viewed as full barrels of hazardous
waste? The word generate is used in your report several times which means produce, create, make,
provoke, induce, promote or foster, we merely transport hazmat under DOT guidelines.
I welcome the opportunity to get this removed or amended from this inspection report.
Sincerely,
Rich Ross
Rich Ross I Branch Manager I ABF Freight® — An ArcBest Company 5m
P: 209.823.2151 1 C: 661.805.4890 I rross@freight.abf.com
