Removal or, <br /> over-Excavation Resample <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> The Health and Safety Plan, for underground tank removal/over- <br /> excavation, provides for the protection of on-site personnel and the <br /> surrounding <br /> community during site characterization activities. The <br /> requirements, specifications and procedures presented with this play, <br /> willapply to all personnel on- sits , including employees, sub- <br /> contractors, site visitors and regulatory <br /> agency personnel. <br /> The most: significant risk associated with petroleum contaminated <br /> soil is exposure to aromatic compounds. akin contact will be <br /> eliminated by use of clothing, Eye wear, and gloves and the <br /> inhalation <br /> 'haz_ard will be minimized using appropriate respiratory <br /> protective i.ve devices as determined by {tir,�esite air monitoring The <br /> Safety Coordinator/Project Manager will establish an exclusion zone- <br /> encompassing <br /> oneencompeasising a r:.0 foot radius from the wilt^k area.
