UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL REPORT <br /> CITY OF MANTECA UST REMOVAL <br /> 320 W. Center Street <br /> WKA No. 9041.01P <br /> March 25, 2011 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Wallace-Kuhl & Associates (WKA) prepared this Underground Storage Tank Removal Report <br /> for the abandonment and removal of one underground storage tank (UST) at the City of Manteca <br /> park sate located at, 320 W. Center Street, Manteca, California (Figure I). This report was <br /> prepared on behalf of The City of Manteca. <br /> An UST was discovered during the construction of a sound %Nall between the future park <br /> expansion and the current Verison building (Refer to Figure 2 and Figure 3). The City of <br /> Manteca retained WKA to provide consulting services in support of activities to abandon the <br /> UST in accordance with current regulatory requirements. The scope of work summarized in this <br /> report included: coordinate contractor's activities to remove the UST from the ground, dispose of <br /> the UST and the liquid and solid waste associated with the UST removal activities at an offsite <br /> facility; and, consulting services to collect and submit for laboratory analysis soil samples <br /> collected from the UST cavity, compile collected data, and prepare this report. <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> The site is an irregular shaped parcel encompassing approximately 2.5 acres located at 320 W. <br /> .. Center Street in Manteca, California (Figure 2). The Stockton-San Joaquin County Public <br /> Manteca Branch Library is located on the northern portion of the property and Wilson Park is <br /> located on the southern portion of the property. The western finger of the property is the location <br /> of the proposed expansion of Wilson Park. At the time of our fieldwork the expansion area was <br /> a construction site. Some grading had occurred and part of Poplar Avenue had been removed. <br /> The site is bounded to the north by the Verison property and W. Central Street, to the south and <br /> west by the Manteca Tidewater Bikeway, beyond which is the Southern Pacific Rail Road, to the <br /> east by Manteca Avenue beyond which is commercial property. The site and surrounding areas <br /> are generally flat. The ground surface elevation on-site is approximately 30 feet above mean sea <br /> level (msl). The UST was discovered on the northern portion of the Wilson Park expansion area <br /> between the city and Version properties. <br />
