March Lane #A, Stockton, CA 95207 <br />3.0. ON-SITE CONTROL <br />Robert E. Marty has been designated to coordinate access control and security onsite. A safe <br />perimeter has been established at 20 feet around excavation. No unauthorized person should be <br />within this exclusion area. <br />4.0. HAZARD EVALUATION <br />The following substance(s) or hazards are known or suspected to be on site. <br />Substances Involved: <br />Concentrations: <br />Gasoline constituents <br />unknown <br />Diesel or other petroleum-based products (?) <br />unknown <br />Other organic -based products (?) <br />unknown <br />The primary hazards of each are identified as follows: <br />1. Hydrocarbon fuels - Components of fuels are colorless liquids with strong aromatic petroleum <br />hydrocarbon -like odors. They are flammable and have low solubility in water. Exposure to <br />these materials in excess of recommended exposure limits can cause mild eye, nose, and <br />throat irritation and can produce a narcotic effect on the central nervous system. Symptoms <br />of exposure at these concentrations include headache, nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, and loss <br />of coordination. Certain components of gasoline (BTE&X etc.) are known or suspected <br />carcinogens. <br />The following additional hazards are expected on site: typical work related to facility. Noise, heavy <br />equipment operation, loaders, etc. (If applicable). <br />
