Fatinah Zareef [EH]
From: Wang, Chunpei [SPR] <Chunpei.Wang@sprint.com>
Sent: Tuesday,January 20, 2015 2:48 PM
To: Fatinah Zareef[EH]
Cc: Lattin, Nikki L [Ericsson Contractor for Sprint]
Subject: RE: Message from "EH-36-MFC" FOLLOW UP FROM INSPECTION
Hi Fatinah,
have a question regarding the violation item noted below in the inspection report, and I hope you can give us some
clarification. According to our UST vendor, the tank's boots were fiberglass which were glued onto the pipes and could
not be removed and turned as requested by the inspector, and it was the original design since the tank was first installed
in 1994. It is the first time an inspector ever brought up this concern, and it will be a major project to relocate the
Schrader valves and lines.
If there is a national or local code or statute you can provide Sprint that would encompass a requirement for the
Schrader valves and lines, we will consider and begin the required modification works at this facility under your
jurisdiction. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
306. CCR2630(d) Monitoring equipment is not installed or maintained to detect a leak at the earliest
opportunity. Schrader valves on the supply line and the return line in the diesel piping sump did not face downward.
—the rest is not available but evidently it's not correct.
Thank you,
Pete (Chunpei) Wang
Environmental, Health and Safety
Office: (650) 375-2019
Wireless: (415) 200-9874
Fax: (913) 523-2040
EHS Mission: To Protect Employees'Safety and Health, Ensure Regulatory Compliance,
Minimize Losses to Property, Protect the Environment, and Facilitate Sustainable Operations.
-----Original Message-----
From: Fatinah Zareef[EH] [m ailto:fzareef(@sicehd.com]
Sent: Monday, December 29, 2014 8:33 AM
To:Wang, Chunpei [SPRJ
Subject: FW: Message from "EH-36-MFC" FOLLOW UP FROM INSPECTION
-----Original Message-----
From: ehsupport@sicehd.com [mailto:ehsupport@sicehd corm]
Sent.
