Vesda <br /> The Vesda system is to be tested by introducing a small quantity of smoke test spray <br /> designed for the use in testing smoke detectors. <br /> It will not be acceptable to light any type of fire that will produce smoke in a Sprint <br /> facility.NO EVENA SMALL AMOUNT FOR TESTING!I <br /> It is also required that when this testing is performed that the building halon system be <br /> disabled to prevent any accidental discharge of halon. <br /> It will also be necessary to determine if distinct hardwire Vesda alarms have been <br /> installed. <br /> If not then this will need to be done as soon as possible. <br /> The test will activate the 3 levels of alarm, Alert, Action and Fire and be verified by the <br /> BMC <br /> UST & AST <br /> The fuel probe is to be removed, cleaned and inspected. <br /> While on the ground the floats are to be moved to various locations on the probe and <br /> verified with BMC by measuring distance of float from the bottom of the probe. <br /> The fuel and water levels in the tank are to be taken by measuring with the tank dipstick <br /> and when probe is reinstalled the readings verified by BMC. <br /> The water level will need to be tested by utilizing water compound on the dipstick. <br /> This will indicate the water level in the tank. <br /> Fuel Leak <br /> The fill sump fuel leak sensor can be tested by manually raising and lowering the float <br /> Water Leak. <br /> The water leak sensor detects conductivity and should be tested by submerging in water. <br />
