The LCX pipe is manufactured as an integral unit.The primary is made of chemically inert,non-permeable,fiberglass reinforced epoxy resin which is inherently resistantto deterioration due to water and microbial attack.This layer is coated with a porous sand layer to provide the small interstitial space which facilitates rapid leak detection.Then, the containment Jaye;comprised of the same material as the primary,is wound over the primary and sand layers.' The system is installed with an Ameron exclusive mechanical secondary containment fitting.'The primary pipe is banded to the primary part of the fitting.The secondary is sealed off with a mechanical closure. • Dualoy 3000/LCX uses proprietary Ameron containment fittings*which come pre-assembled from the manufacturer.Only the primary is bonded;the secondary uses a secure mechanical closure.
