Orient chip so that the small indented semicircle on <br />the top of the chip is on the same end as the small notch painted on the board above the socket (in this <br />example on the top) . Carefully align the chip pins over the socket holes and gently push the chip dawn until <br />all the pins are in the socket holes. Then push down firmly and evenly on the chip until it is down against the <br />socket. Check to see that each of the pins is in its socket. <br />Figure 5.
