The Service Manager records the test results in a log. The volume of tank contents <br /> (inventory reconciliation) is measured at opening and closing each day and also recorded <br /> in the log. <br /> 2.3 Location of Monitoring Equipment <br /> The vacuum loss detector probe is located in the secondary containment of the tank. The <br /> tank location is shown on Figure 1. The monitoring panel for the vacuum loss detector is <br /> located in the toolroom, as shown on Figure 1. <br /> 2.4 Responsibility for Monitoring <br /> The Service Manager, Edmund Sarkis, is responsible for performing the monitoring and/or <br /> maintaining the equipment. <br /> 2.5 Reporting Format <br /> A log of the testing of the monitoring equipment and the inventory reconciliation is kept. <br /> A page from the log, showing the format, is attached. <br /> 2,6 Preventive Maintenance <br /> In accordance with the manufactures instructions,the tank monitoring system is tested and <br /> maintained by a factory authorized service technician on a yearly basis. After completing <br /> any necessary maintenance,the technician provides a certification attesting that the tank is <br /> "fit for use". <br /> 2.7 Training <br /> The monitoring system has simple, self explanatory controls, and emits an audible alarm <br /> when a leak is detected. No training is required. If a leak does occur, the Service <br /> Manager will implement the Contingency and Emergency Response Plan to affect <br /> correction of the problem. <br />
