Those laws <br />and regulations place certain legal obligations on the <br />operators of said tanks. As a Unocal dealer, you are <br />subject to those legal obligations as operator of <br />underground storage tanks containing hazardous substances. <br />Current law requires the operator of underground storage <br />tanks containing motor vehicle fuels to comply with the <br />following standards: <br />1. Daily gauging and inventory reconciliation of each <br />product stored within the allowable variances <br />established by permit. <br />2. Daily measurement of any water layer in each tank. <br />3. Daily meter readings for UGST input and withdrawals. <br />4. Review the inventory reconciliation records at least <br />quarterly. <br />5. Each quarter, submit a statement to the local a: <br />agency, under penalty of perjury, that either.- <br />a. <br />ither:a. States the measurements are within allowable <br />variations, or <br />b. Gives a listing of the dates and variations that <br />exceed the allowable. <br />Rev. 9/86 <br />
