CITY OF STOCKTON <br />STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br />Fp - THE OFFICE or <br />COOLURES <br />erOCKTON FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY HALL <br />July 21, 1967 <br />Firestone Tire & Rubber Company <br />400 North E1 Dorado Street <br />Stockton, California <br />Attention: Mr. Ray Curtis, Manager <br />Dear Sir: <br />TELEP.0NES; <br />465-5751 (EXT. 275) <br />464-4648 <br />L <br />SEP . 1967 <br />Vii: <br />A recent inspection of the above mentioned property disclosed a <br />violation to the Standards of the National Fire Code, Chapter 30, Section <br />C-3 ABANDONING UNDERGROUND TANKS IN PLACE: <br />C-31 Remove all flammable or combustible liquid from the tank ✓ <br />and from all connecting lines. <br />C-32 Disconnect the suction, inlet, gage and vent lines. <br />C-33 Fill the tank and any remaining stubs completely with a <br />non -shrinking inert solid material, and cap all tank <br />inlets and outlets. <br />C-4 REMOVAL OF <br />C-41 Remove all flammable or combustible liquids from tank <br />and from connecting lines. <br />C-42 Disconnect the suction, inlet, gage and Vent lines; remove <br />sections of connecting lines which are not to be used fur- <br />ther and cap or plug inlets, outlets and leaks if any. <br />After removal, the tank may be gas freed on the premises <br />if it can be done safely at that location or may be trans- <br />ported to an area not accessible to the public and the gas <br />11 freeing completed at that location. <br />A period of. thirty 30) days will be allowed to correct the above- <br />mentioned condition. <br />Your cooperation regarding this matter will be greatly appreciated. <br />Very truly yours, <br />R.
